Final magazine

Here is my final magazine that I have constructed.

During my analasis of IPC Media, one of the biggest leading publishers of magazine in the UK, I found out the various music magazines that they publish. NME (various music) and Uncut (Rock Music) are the main music magazines they publish.

I also analized Bauer Media and what music magazines they publish. Kerrang (Rock music magazine) and Mojo are included as some of the music magazines that they advertise. Bauer Media are also involved in radio stations, websites and TV in the music industry.

I have finished my first draft of my double page spread now. I have now added my interview and will use the feedback from this first draft to make sure I can improve it

Here I have made changes to the front page and contents page.
On the front page I have changed the cover line on the left hand side from 'LIZZY GRIF V FEST 2014 RUMOURS' to 'LIZZY GRIF V FEST 2014 LINE UP'. 
I have also made the picture of my main artist bigger so that it fills the front cover of my magazine more.

On the contents page I have changed the numbers of the pages. 
Instead of the pages only going up to 12, they now go up to 44.

I will now continue to make changes to my double page spread to ensure I make my magazine the best it can be using my feedback on the first draft.

From my feedback I have discovered that ....
- Make the page numbers on my contents page more realistic to a magazine as I have only got the numbers going up to 12.
- The picture of my main artist used on my front cover is too small. I need to make it bigger so that the magazine looks better.
- I have no page numbers on my double page spread. I need to include these so that it looks like an actual magazine double page spread.
- Construct an interview for my double page spread and lay these out into two columns of text without using a coloured background, just the back ground already on the page.

Here i have completed the first draft of my magazine. I will now look at aspects of it which I think can be improved on it.

I am now currently working on the front cover of my magazine in page plus. Here I am trying to create cover lines which go with the whole genre of my magazine.

Here, you can tell the difference between the indie/rock magazine, classical music magazine and pop magazine based on the front cover. This is what I want to be able to achieve with my magazine so that I know I have successfully made my magazine look like the indie/rock genre of music which I want it to be.

For my magazine, I have tried to make it similar to the magazine i made on the first pageplus exercise that I completed. 
I have made these similarities through the photography I had taken on the front cover and the double page spread. 
I have also tried to use a similar layout to what I had on this excercise. 
I have done this as I liked the magazine I had first made for this exercise because I thought it suited my genre of music well.

This is how far I currently am with the process of making my first magazine draft. 

I will now need to add cover lines and to my front cover, more features on my contents page and make up and title and interview on my double page spread for my main artist.

I am trying to keep consistency through my magazine. I am doing this with the colour scheme, font but also the images of my main artist also. 

I have decided to include 3 photos of my main artist in the magazine. One on the front cover, one on the double page spread and one on the contents page as well. 

I have included these three photos however they are all in different poses so that I can show my original photography and make the magazine seem more realistic. 

The use of these 3 photos has made my magazine more consistant.

I have also decided since I have started making my magazine that my colour scheme is going to be Red white and black to keep it consistant throughout the magazine.

I also think that the colour scheme for my magazine reflects the genre of music in some ways for what I have chosen for my magazine

While starting to make my first attempt of the magazine, I have decided that the main font i am going to use is 'rockwell extra bold' .

I have decided on using this font as I think that it suits  and indie/rock genre of music very well.

I am now starting to construct my magazine on 'pageplus'. I will make the first draft of my magazine and then look at areas which can be changed and made better etc.
